Luxor
As the site of the Ancient Egytian city of Thebes, Luxor has frequently been characterized as the “world’s greatest open air museum”, as the ruins of the temple complexes at Karnak and Luxor stand within the modern city. Immediately opposite, across the River Nile lie the monuments, temples and tombs on the West Bank Necrpolis, which include the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Sharm for transfer to Sharm airport for flight of around 50 mins to Luxor. Our English speaking guide will will meet you at Luxor and you will be transferred by air conditioned vehicle to the West Bank of Thebes.
There we will visit the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colossi of
Memon and the Alabastar Institute.
You will have some lunch then in a local Luxor restaurant before we visit the Karnak
Temples in the Eastern Bank followed by a visit to a lovely perfume shop.
Drive you to your 4 * hotel for overnight stay in Luxor (half board basis).
Aswan
South of Luxor is the city of Aswan the best winter resort in Egypt. On its eastern bank are mosques, bazaars, Ferial Gardens, Nubian Museum, Fatimid Cemetery, Unfinished Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut, Kitchener’s Island & Elephantine Island which is the largest in Aswan.
Transfer to Aswan at 5am by Bus – Arrive in Aswan at 7.30
First we will visit the High Dam then the Philae Temple. We will sail in the Nile by Felucca to Elephantine Island. We will visit the Mausoleum of Agha-Khan, Botanical Gardens and take a visit to a Nubian Village where they speak their own ‘secret’ language.
Transfer then to Abu Simbel by Bus for half an hour and have some lunch there.
Here we will visit the Temple of Ramses and the Temple of Queen Nefertari
Transfer back to Aswan. Back to Sharm from Aswan airport in the evening.
